Do you love working with young children and supporting their care and education?
If so our family centre is the place for you as we currently have a post available to work with children between the ages of 0 – 5 years that require additional support to meet their distinct learning needs.
We aim to offer a safe and secure environment for all children, in which they will be offered a wide range of opportunities to learn through play. Enthusiastic staff will give the children opportunities to be creative, imaginative and to develop physical skills. We have a wide range of activities and equipment to suit all ages and interests. The children will be empowered to extend and develop their skills and confidence in a caring supportive framework.
‘Playing and learning together’
We wish to appoint experienced and outstanding early years practitioners to work as part of our team, with children aged 0-5 years to support the specific learning needs of some of our children with additional learning needs.
Key skills/attributes include:
- Previous experience working with EYFS children in a nursery/school setting
- A good knowledge and understanding of child development and the needs of families and children
- A good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and appreciation of the Early Learning Goals (ELG’s)
- Enthusiasm to work with young children
- Ability to build relationships and to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills with children, adults, parents and carers, and colleagues
- A friendly, helpful, caring and flexible approach
- Open-mindedness and patience
- A commitment to equal opportunities and inclusive practice
- Experience of supporting and working with children with additional learning needs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all setting matters
- A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills
- Ability to physically fulfil the responsibilities of the post
