Welcome

About DoNESC

Established in September 2019, The Diocese of Norwich Education Services Company (DoNESC) provides support to the schools in our Trusts, within the areas of Estates Management, HR, Governance, Finance, Safeguarding and Operations.

Our aim is to provide high-quality, value for money services which provide cost advantages, thereby taking much of this burden from the Headteacher’s and local governing bodies. This allows school leaders to focus on what they do best which is providing high quality education to their pupils, developing teaching and learning, and working with the local community.

About DoNESC

Culture and Values

Immeasurably more than we can imagine!

Our passion and ambition is to see children within the all Trust academies achieve excellent educational outcomes alongside developing and growing into their potential as individuals. Our culture is one of high aspiration rooted in our Christian values. We have a desire to see Norfolk, and our schools in Northeast Suffolk, and its education system recognised as a place of aspiration, achievement and hope whether living in a rural area, coastal community, market town or the city of Norwich.

Our values are based on those of the joint Diocese of Norwich Education Team. They are:
  • Teamwork and Service, imbued with kindness, lie at the heart of what we do to support schools and academies across the Diocese. This shapes our interactions and dealings with everyone, recognising that in life as in education, we are always ‘stronger together’.
  • We are Centred in Community and strive to live well together. We model dignity and respect, hope and aspiration going the ‘extra mile’ to enable the flourishing of all.

Development Opportunities

At DoNESC, we believe in offering continuous personal development to our employees and where opportunities arise, supporting them in the next steps of their career. One of our HR employees shares her experiences below:

“I had already begun my CIPD Level 5 Apprenticeship in People Management before joining DoNESC in January 2023, and they were happy to support me in the continuation of my studies while working as a HR Administrator. Within this role, I was able to develop my knowledge of HR processes, working collaboratively with the team and supporting with the development of administration within the department.

Upon completion of my qualification, a HR Officer vacancy arose within the team, and I was successfully appointed in May 2024. Being provided a mentor within the team has helped me grow into my new role and build my confidence.

DoNESC have provided me with additional CPD opportunities to take further steps within my career, such as additional ACAS training courses to support in the development of policies, and wellbeing and menopause related training causes so I can begin to specialise in an area of HR that I am passionate about.”
- Emily Knights, HR Officer
