Routes into Education

If you’re thinking of teacher training the first thing you need to do is get some experience in a school.  You will need to show that you have done this when you apply anyway, but being in a school can also help you decide which age range you want to teach.

UCAS

Full of information on entry requirements, case studies on the different routes and information on the application process. Inspiration Teacher Training

Inspiration Teacher Training’s modern course offers deep subject-specific training and the chance to make a difference in the classroom from the very start.  Part of the Inspiration Trust, one of the country’s best performing school groups, ITT has a training centre in Norwich and school placements available in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, covering both primary and secondary specialisms.  For more information visit the Inspiration Teacher Training website.

Norfolk Teacher Training Centre

NTTC provides school-based teacher training for both Primary and Secondary.  Working with over 70 partner schools in Norfolk and Suffolk, NTTC offers School Direct and Post Graduate Teaching Apprenticeships – both leading to Qualified Teacher Status.  NTTC has trained over 300 new teachers and 98% of our graduates secured their first teaching job immediately at the end of the course (2019/20).
